Dance Film Workshop

This workshop focuses on the coexistence between choreographic and audiovisual thinking. Together we will observe and analyze some of the most iconic international video dance projects, to see the infinite possibilities of this new creation medium. Also, during the workshop we will work and train on the basic elements and characteristics of the cinematic language, in order to be used as a way for composition and presentation of dance.

In the final stage, participants will have the opportunity to do practical exercises to try to create and explore their own creative possibilities on the video dance creation.

Bio

The Laisvie Andrea Ochoa is a Colombian/Lithuanian artist in the field of performing arts. She is the artistic director of the pioneer Colombian dance group "Concuerpos". At present, Laisvie Studies in the MA choreography in Codarts/Fontys and has studied psychology and the creation of multimedia performances. She practiced 6 months in London at the dance, in the dance group "Candoco", while as an independent artist she has developed works where dance and new technology instruments are connected.

Laisvie started creating video dance in 2005 and this is one of her main creative activities. In 2013 she was awarded a prize and in 2011 she received the award for Outstanding Video Arts and in 2013 she was the winning participant of Festival Videomovimiento, Colombia.

International Dance Video Festival have chosen its work, such as Proyector 13, breaking 8, Vartex, Festivál Internacional de video Danza (in Chile, Ecuador and Brazil).
